Scary part of all this, is that this spill will stop drilling in the gulf an ultimately be worse for the environment than if we continue to drill in the gulf. Imagine what would happen if this spill would be off the coast of some 3rd world country, or even the impact if the drilling had happened in some 3rd world country.

(on a serious note, "It's time for our government to step up to the plate" - it's a bit late now. Plus, oil lobbiests are pretty damn powerful)
