Oh, so sorry to hear about your mom. Glad all went well, and she's recovering at home. Pain pills are your friends.
Make sure your Dad does her chores, too. As for him asking your mom, "Can you knead with one hand?" I'd have looked at him, and said, "No, because you can knead with two!" Bet he'll look real cute in one of her aprons. Got frills? You'll have to take pics, and post 'em up. ;-p

This is z, too lazy to log Ed out. LOL
Glad your mom is ok! It's so funny reading about your mom & dad because mine are farmers and exactly the same thing happened. Mom was walking and fell over dog and broke both wrists. Instead of my dad stepping up to DO housework, like dishes, what'd he do? He brought home those armpit length plastic gloves you use to check cattle with... so she could put them over her casts and still wash dishes. I think he was only HALF joking.

I have stayed a few extra days well it will actually be almost a week to help her. I figure she will need it as dad can be rather useless at house stuff and when he does do it, like tonight he did dishes and notched the whole time about where things went and why doesom have so much crap. He does not cplaim when she is using the crap to bake for him. He's gonna have a rough 6 weeks eating store bought bread ! I thought about making some tomorrow but he bitched about my chili so screw him ! I love dad but he can be a pain. As soon as I leave he better pick up the slack he will have a rough awakening when he sees how much she does around there between half the farm work and all the housework.

Sorry about mom!! I hope she is able to let it heal... I know all about needing to get back to work on the farm. The fun part will come when SHE gets bored and notices that stuff isn't getting done.

I look forward to dad having to cook supper and do laundry oh yes, and vacuum, dust, make the bed, and help mom bathe. I would love to be a fly on the wall. She is not allowed to do anything with her arm for 6 weeks min. She even has tonsleep with her sling on!

I hope you're right that when he realizes everything that she does, he'll respect her more and complaint less. Some men never get it.
