I don't get it?

Too much traffic?

Strict passing rules?

Slower riders?

If you're not ready to bump up a class, be the first one on track to get some clean air.

Does that traffic not seem rediculous to you? Passing 4-5 people a corner and still not seeing green air?

I bumped after that session.

It seems ridiculous but not surprising.

The Novice and Intermediate groups tend to bunch up especially at the begining of a session.

It seemed like once you got by the majority, the track opened up. The only way to avoid that is to jump out in front of them at the start.

Or bump up.

You chose the better option.

Yeah, I was scared to death to bump up. Just started doing trackdays on the 675 and this was my first on "real" tires so I didn't think I'd have the pace...but I did just fine in A. I could carry a lot more cornerspeed than I was used to. I was all excited about bumping LOL

I need to drive a LOT harder into 8 and deeper into 1...and carry more cornerspeed.

("that's what SHE said")

How I handled it since I was never fast enough to ride advanced is to let the idiots first on the track (which they tend to be the first ones to line up) and they tend to be very aggressive with each other and slow themselves down. Let everyone go out and give it about a minute and then proceed out. You usually catch the easy back markers pretty quick, but it gives everyone time to spread out and as they tire themselves out from racing each other, easier to pass when you catch up with a cool head and plenty of gas left in the tank.

This seems like a solid approach.

The only problem with that is it can take a lap or two before you thread your way through the douche bags.

Save yourself some frustration.... Pit in, give yourself a big gap then come back out.
