Default Not really a long trip, more like baby steps

This was written for our local board but I thought I would post it up here. plus I can finally post some pics of my bike.

Had some crazy gravel adventures today.
We left ottawa and made it to Perth through some pretty loose gravel and eerie banjo music. It was the back way to the back way, about 20kms of loose gravel roads.
From there we went down hwy 10 to Westport, then took a right and went down Westport rd to Hwy 38. The road is so smooth and mostly clean through the curves(which are marked for 20km/h) then straightens out until we hit 38. We then went around Desert lake rd. Careful on this one, lots of 20km/h corners, lots of bumps/heaves/gravel, enough to spit my fat ass out of my seat.
We then hit hwy 10 into Kingston and toured down the strip. We had lunch at Brandee's near the water. I got my burger served by the nicest pair of legs I have ever seen.(sorry no pics)
After that we fueled up, or else the RC would have died on the side of the road.
Off we went, back to Ottawa, pass the 401, and the RC died on the side of the road.
The undertail came loose, and sat on the rear tire, which wore down the fuel pump cutoff switch killing the bike. We got it working good enough to shoot down to the Honda/Harley dealership to have them take a look. They brought it in and fixed it up enough to get us back to Ottawa, and they also gave us a guided tour of the shop while we waited for the bike. This place is the nicest shop I have ever been in. The Honda and Harley/Buell sides were seperated from each other, they had a customer lounge area, and a service lounge area. Each of the lounges were awesome. They had tons of bikes on the floor, the only thing they could use is more gear selection.
As we left, the RC owner(I forgot his name, lol) asked how much he owed, and they told us nothing. I think I might bring the bus down there to beat their dyno record(150hp from a procharged Road King), they are an awesome shop!
We were able to set off again, and toured up hwy 10 to Westport, then went up hwy 42 to Smiths Falls, down hwy 6 to Roger Stevens dr, where we witnessed an RC51 try to keep up to a busa in acceleration. We watched the busa walk away. We went up Roger Stevens dr and went our separate ways at Franktown rd.

Good for you for having the guts to run on gravel. I take one look and run the other way.
