Checklist for any long distance ride:
cellphone tank bag saddle bag tail bag honda tool kit monkey butt (a must have item) chain lube small can of honda polish spare rags quick inflate tire repair kit ass made of iron good company is optional, no company can be fun, but the wrong company is not exceptable cash and credit cards granola bars, energy drinks etc. mp3 player tent sleeping bag pillow case to shove spare clothing in so you dont actually have to bring a pillow (or three if your pickel) atleast double the socks and underware that you would origninally plan on bringing extra cargo nets spare set of sandles incase you loose a flip flop while riding through the desart spare riding gear(ie rain suite extra gloves) i prefer an external back protector at all times, just makes me feel more secure also makes packing the extra jackets alot easier since the big clumbsy foam pad is out of your spare |

Note to self: RC is not a goldwing. no matter how many times you shut your eyes, click your heels, its not a couch on wheels... no matter how many saddlebags, tail bags, tank bags, bunggee cords, cargo nets, tents, sleeping bags... the list goes on, its still a 1000cc repliracer streetbike that will try to kill u if given the chance, and im ok with that

starting this off with a bang:
nothing like a 1000 mile round trip to nashville when they are calling for strong thunderstorms to get your blood going! Wouldnt be bad if i wasnt a broke college student. I aint a math major but 97 dollars > 220 dollars for gas. thats right it would cost me 220 in gas to do from tiffin oh to nashville and back, and only 97 on the RC51 (PIG). so i guess if your gonna be dumb you gotta be tough, nothing like mother nature trying to fuck you over to let you know how hardcore you really are, will be sure to get pics so ppl actually look at this lil write up later on on a side note im leaving for toledo to meet up with mudpuppy for some tires, gonna give a set of PR m2's a try along with a set of diablos, write ups will follow |

so nix the whole ride to nashville, somthing abour consitent 40* temps and thunderstorms and nasty wind killed that plan, but did get to take the goat down, nothing like getting 25 mpg average for an entire tank of gas, thats right i made it from dayton OH to nashville on one tank of gas, the car gets almost as good of gas milage as the rc51 even on the highway, there is something wrong with that picture...
