Yeah seafood and lean meats are expensive. I think for me the biggest change is portion control. A correctly portioned salad for dinner is cheaper than a whole bag of fritos.

And let me just mention, one of my coworkers is a constant fitness/diet freak... right now there is something in the office fridge called "Hummus Classic Snacker Pack" Judging by the dirty looks I get when I'm enjoying a breakfast donut, fitness |= happiness And finally, the friggin' TV stereotype, OMG... Since Top Gear and Penguins of Madagascar have been in repeats, I haven't watched TV in at least 2 weeks. There ARE other sedentary forms of relaxation!

I'm the opposite of this. By the time I was 24 I had never gotten above 150lbs, and I'm 6' tall. At our old forum there was a fitness section and I read what Apoc and 101 and the other guys that lift had to say and I studied up. 101 sent me a book, can't remember the name of it. Anyway, I kept at it and eventually found the diet/exercise combo that worked for me. I grew so fast I got stretch marks on my thighs. I eventually made it to 200lbs. Eventually I got to the point to where I couldn't afford to keep eating that much chicken and meat, BUT the point remains that it is possible to drastically modify your body no matter how your DNA is coded. Now, through normal exercise and portions I stay around 175 and I don't fall through the shower drain anymore. THANKS GUYS! ________ Toyota Iq Last edited by Kaneman; 05-09-2011 at 09:26 PM.. |

grilled chicken anyone? fresh fish? Lil fruit (strawberries and blueberries) and oatmeal? Perhaps a good serving of broccolli or carrots.
and I must insist that you chuck that soda down the sink...there will be none of that. Little water or cranberry juice on the side Need a snack...grab a handful of penuts and raisins. Now if you will just dip it all in this vat of blended maple syrup and butter we can be on our way. |

So for 3 meals of whopper jr's, its $3, and for 3 salads, its $21?? Granted, i make my own salads but when i am hungry and on the go, its so much more tempting to spend a buck. Last edited by Tsunami; 07-08-2009 at 05:32 PM.. |

Kinda like I start every argument with "I'm from the hood"? People can only relate to situations from their own experiences.... Being pregnant is 75% of her world right now and is obviously going to skew her perspective. Heck, we're all like that. All the medical people approach every thread from that angle, the engineers from that angle, etc, etc. |
