Fixed.

There's no additional "yellow" input to go from the DVD TO the TV so I had it in a different one. This would give me picture and sound but only in black and white.

So I took the cable box inputs and put them in the Component 2 slots and put the DVD cables in the Component 1 slot.

I didn't move the cable ones before because they are red/blue/green as opposed to red/white/yellow and I didn't want to mess anything up.

Thanks for the "help".

I just don't get why it would be black and white instead of actually colour. Argh!
it's because you can't spell right.

"yellow" traditionally carries video (red/white for L/R audio channels).

that's when you're dealing with RCA imputs.

SVideo only carries video (it looks like a PS-2 Mouse connector)

the R.G.B. doesn't carry audio, just straight up video, if you dont' have your cables connected in teh correct order you'll end up out of sync.

and it could be a bad cable, lacking signal will cause your color issue.

but ya said you fixed it.... so, yay.

yeah, again I'm thinking that since she's using RCA cables the channel indicator doesn't matter.

Good to know it's fixed.

Wondered how long it would take you to say it. You forgot to say "Eastern Canada", though.
