You can clean it up. When my grandma died we had to do this to her house. We had to re-primer all the walls before any paint went on, ceiling included. All carpet and pad replaced. All window coverings thrown out and replaced. Tile in the kitchen and bathrooms had to be scrubbed clean and the windows had to be scrubbed. All the trim work had to be painted. Door hardware scrubbed, kitchen cabinets and appliances replaced... . the whole works. It was a lot of money to make it livable to non smokers, but in So-cal it sold in less than 3 days on the market and at a hefty profit(about 23 times more than what they paid for it).

Manufactured home that's been smoked in heavily...not a chance. They're pretty much screwed.

Hmm, I've heard tons of people call pot "dope". It's more accurate to use it for heroin, but people still do it.
Never heard it being used for meth or coke though. Last edited by Homeslice; 03-14-2010 at 02:55 PM.. |

This is exactly what my grandparents' house was like. A few months after my grandmother passed, we decided to bulldoze her house. The house was so far out in the sticks, it wouldn't have been worth trying to make it non-smoky to sell.

If our basement wouldn't be a swimming pool, I would do the same down there. I know that is where a lot of the smell is coming from. But it still sucks. |

Second, the smell doesnt stick around like cigs do. But, I wouldnt smoke pot in a house of my own either. Hash wouldn't be a problem though, as it has a light, sweet smell.
