I dont think that has started yet. Verizon is going to be introducing shared data plans sometime soon and I think that is when theyll start ending unlimited data plans. Unless Im wrong, I think you can still upgrade and keep your plan for now.

I'm going to ditch contracts when my contract is up in december. Probably going to get the wife an iPhone 5 with straightalk and just go from there.

When I bought my rezound online, I did the renew online too. It gave me the option to keep my unlimited plan. It was to the right of the rip-off 2gb/4gb/etc options.
