Yeah, right.

well, you do tend to set up metal detectors... and who knows what you've hidden in that huge wooden cross...

See? There's another reason not to shop at Costco.

They don't trust in Jesus!

Walmart will stop you if your stuff isn't in a bag.

The line up to get out sucks but its not that bad. They have found items that people were charged twice for because of that line. My sister would find all kinds of things that were not paid for and send people back.

Your not treated like a shoplifter. They do a quick scan of your receipt and your on your way.

Employee's have to have their lunch bags checked when they leave.

I don't know what your time is worth, but the first and last time I waited around in line so I could be "checked for stealing" (which is what it amounts to) it took 20 minutes.

Fuck that. I bought it, it's mine, piss-off. I'm not a goddamn 12 year old, I can check my own receipt to make sure I wasn't overcharged.

Maybe in your area, but not around here. They have greeters, but those people stand pretty far away from the door, so they can't double-duty as receipt-checkers.

I have Costco's business membership - I go early, it's always quick and not super crowded.

I always thought they checked the receipts as a precaution against shop-lifters.
