Chalk up another. I found it slow and retarded. Portman is very pretty, but her acting sucks. The Wachowski's fucked up a good thing with Alan Moore's work. It just didn't work for me.
The ones I like are typical. The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Superman 1 and 2, Ironman, The Punisher (2004, didn't like the Dolph shit, haven't seen the new shit), X2, Spiderman 2. I fucking LOVED The Shadow. I'll watch it to the end no matter when it's on TV. The list of hates is a mile long. The ones that stand our are the Batman movies after Returns and before Begins, the Supermans after 2, Wanted (hate hate hate seething hate), Spiderman 3, Xmen 3, and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

I liked the first Batman, and Batman Begins.....
Xmen and Xmen II...... The Shadow was a cool period flick, with great sets...... I hope someone does a remake of it. Another good one would be Nexus, but most people don't know who he was. |

You're right, not many people would have ever heard of him. If we're going in the direction of comics that we'd LIKE to see turn into movies though, I think that The Badger would be better.

I hope it's not Samuel L Jackson. I'm completely burnt out on his "acting". I think I would be quite content to not see another Samuel L. Jackson as Samuel L. Jackson interpreting [insert character here]. It's about as entertaining as Nick Cage playing Nick Cage in every movie.

it seems it most definitely will be.
sammy L came in at the end of iron man as nick cage, to talk about the "avenger initiative". then Robert Downey Jr shows up at the end of The Incredible Hulk talking about basically the same thing. now the moves slated for release : Thor, Captain America, the first avenger (set in WWII as the first / only super soldier) iron man II (i am sure with more cameo's and hints for whats next) then, as a nice little bowtie, they will tie them all together with "The Avengers" for those that don't know, the Avengers was a group of superheroes. Thor, Captain, Iron Man and the first few episodes included the hulk, but was uncontrollable. this will likely be a trilogy is my bet. point being, all of these marvel movies coming out at the same time are not a coincidence, and the casting was likely set in stone, with contracts for all the movies for continuity.

Jackson just doesn't work for me, as Fury. To start with, Fury is an old guy with good hair. He's also not black. He started out as Sargeant Fury of Easy Company in the WWII comic, and they updated him into Nick Fury of SHIELD later on. I had a stack of the Easy Company comics, before my little brother started to read comics and quietly sold off my stack at FACE, to buy his.
