I use it to organize parties, hit up parties, and stay in touch with friends. I fucking despise talking on the phone more than just about anything in the world and Facebook helps me avoid it. Win, win, and more win.

That, and Farmville is fucking AWESOME!

You go girl.

I don't really give a shit if you or anyone else wants to "facebook" - just leave me the fuck out of it.

And I just sometimes get LSD flashbacks and have really good rants.. right before the paranoia kicks in and i hide from the imaginary cops that are coming to arrest me..

I'm less interested in this topic and your rant and more interested in this. Which BBS software did you help fucking make? I used to run some midnight boards years ago in college. I've been around since the days of my Atari 400 w/accoustic coupling 300 baud modem and echo net. Used to incite flame wars with people before trolling was ever a term. lol

Who else here was into ANSI art?

And good luck finding people with common background by flipping thru the phone book. Who the hell is listed in a phone book nowdays anyway?
Who said anything about finding people with a common background in a phonebook? You are facebook material aren't you? Probably shop at walmart too.. mfp.. The point of the phone book is for old "friends" to find you there flapjack not to social network.. Go drink your kool aid and get a swine flu vaccination.. the finding people with a common background is what something like this forum is for - and without all the bullshit of facebook..

Ever heard of Mnet? Probably not. All I can say is Mnet and Red Ninja. Other than that its classified. If you have been around as long as you say then you can fill in the blanks. I think you were catching the wave awhile after I was already on the beach though.

I'm with MP on this one. I watch all these people "reconnect" with friends from the past. Fuck that. There are very few people from my past that I give a shit about.

And forums are just the opposite. I come here to make new friends with common interests. I have no interest in rehashing the glory days.
