Should of just went and got some Merrill "insert name for the type of running you do" Glove shoes. They make different barefoot shoes for the type of running trail/road/whatever that have vibram soles and don't look fucking retarded.

I tried running last year but "SQUIRREL!!!"
I go to the gym 3 times a week and I walk all over the place but running and my bow legged ass never went well. I get self-conscience. I have a funny gate. People automatically move to the other side of the street when I approach. I just never really did the running thing. At most I'd run for 15 minutes at the gym as a way to loosen up or warm up. A few months ago I ran around the neighborhood (1.5 miles) patted myself on the back (for running the whole way) and left it at that. Over the weekend told the wife I was going for run (because I wanted to change the subject from "Me cleaning the kitchen") Pulled a Forest Gump and started running. Insta 5K in my hilly neighborhood. Had I started earlier in the day I may have kept on going but the Sun is made of nuclear crap and that shit is hotter than a mofo. Going to try the runtastic app next run. |

I got in good shape for the warrior dash and was running about 3-5 miles a day right before I got sick and bailed on it. I kept going until I moved to Chatty. I fell off the wagon while I was living in the apartment cause I don't like treadmill running and didn't have a good place to run. I really need to start again.
I eat a lot better now, but gained the weight back from not exercising.

I walk twice a day with the dog, try to make her jog with me a little (with varying success). I'm trying to keep myself in a routine of pushups and situps/crunches every day. And, of course, one or two mountain bike rides a week as time & motivation allows. As I drop weight running seems a little more possible, but I'm still not sure I really *want* to.
