I think it looks cool. I actually like the exhaust, which is rare on a stocker.

No worries, removing it and swapping the ohlins didnt take too long for me but I did have most of the bike taken apart already, tank had to come off to properly do the job, but the tank I had was trashed anyway.

Make sure to upgrade the fork springs/oil at the same time, riding it with a quality rear shock and shitty front suspension is not a fun time.

Just make sure that the difference in length doesn't make a significant difference in the handling. You probably won't notice it on the street but it will probably be very different at the track.

I did a similar shock swap on the SV using the rear shock from a XZ14R

What he said. I thought "how bad could it possibly be" when I did the rear but was waiting on the parts for the front.
