I have an Acer with a T3400 dual core. I haven't seen anything in the BIOS about turning the second core on or off.

Nice price, but I haven't heard much positive experiences with emachines.
Just checked my dual core settings.. and both are on. I'm kind of disappointed because I was hoping for a performance boost. I went to Performance and then there was a sub-menu for it. Using a dell, though.
