Acceptable reasons to ride a trike???
Most motorcyclist do not recognize trikes as "bikes" and personally it's two wheels for life for me. Here's the only reasons I find it acceptable to ride a trike:
1) you are at least 62 yrs old (it's good enough for medicare so you get a pass) 2) You have some sort of medical condition or disability 3) your spouse or riding partner/companion weighs more than the rated weight of any two wheeled vehicle. Any other acceptable reasons to riding/owning a trike from those of you that are diehard twowheel guys/gals? |

I never really considered them....always thought they were a bit hokey.
But a couple of years ago I met a couple while on vacation with my father. They had this crazy trike with a trailer. Sure it may seem hokey now but they were in their 70's and still riding. That's cool! My father is 61 and he's already said he'll get a trike if it means he gets to keep riding. |

none, get a convertible, trikes are a hazard.
You are no longer riding, you are driving.

I guess trikes are like motorcycles with a cane.

Theres a one-legged scooter rider in my town. He sits on his crutch. Looks hilarious, actually. He don't need no stinking trike.

Ever since that couple impaled themselves on a boat at the dragon on a trike, those things have been written off by me as useless. They handle like shit. A car will be much more fun and you can have climate control by putting up the top.

They are not for me but to each their own.
The only reasons I see are if you have a disability or are just too old (whatever that is) to ride a motorcycle. If I get to that point...I'll just cage in in a vert I guess. |
