MP3 help

I received a $30 gift card for Christmas, its for the mall. I walked around that mother fucker today for 1.5 hours and do you think I could find something to buy?

I was going to buy something at GNC but what I was going to buy was $20 more then another place in town. Screw that.

I have been thinking about headphones or an MP3 player.

I have one of these right now.

It was cheap and I just wanted something for the gym. Well I hate that fact that it doesn't have a screen so I don't know how much life is left in the battery (died on me one night plowing, I was pissed) and I can't set up a play list or even find a song. It has 1g and thats not bad. I think I have aobut 700mb or so on it and one night plowing all night I heard songs again by morning. So I would rather have about 2g+.

I have two options. Deal with it the way it is and get nicer headphones. I'm just not sure if this one is good enough to make it worth the better headphones.

The headphones I'm not sure if I want to go in the ear buds or over the ear headphones. I would also use the headphones at times with my guitar.

So what would you buy? Headphones or a new mp3 player?
