Tricolor 1098
I saw one yesterday cruising down the road. This is the first time I have actually heard one running. HOLY SHIT. What a sound coming from that thing. It had Termi pipes. Except at the stop light...that engine is noisy sitting still.
Fuck. Sounded so good. Stock photo:

The noise at idle is that dry clutch... they fixed that on the 848..

They didn't fix anything. It wasn't broken. It has become a Superbike trademark, just like the underseat exhaust, trellis frame, and (aside from the 749/999) the single sided swing arm. The 848 is more "economical" than previous middle weights... |

If I had a Duc I'm damn sure want it to have a dry clutch. I will own a Hypermotord someday.

The 1098 indeed has an incredible exhaust note. And if any encouragement for the Hyper, the aircooled 2V powerplant in its chassis delivers an even more intoxicating "basso profundo". |
