Napalm Motorsports and OmniBank present the 5th annual Marching Band Challenge. Tap your feet and enjoy the rhythm of sixteen local high school drum lines all competing for your vote!

Here’s how it works.

The drum lines compete during the CBS 42 KEYE half time broadcasts of these preseason Dallas Cowboys games:

* Sat. Aug. 9, 9 p.m. -- Dallas at San Diego
Bands: Anderson, LBJ, Reagan, McNeil, McCallum high schools
Winner: LBJ
* Sat. Aug. 16, 8 p.m. -- Dallas at Denver
Bands: Connally, Bowie, Akins, Hays, Lehman high schools
Winner: Connally
* Thu. Aug. 28, 7 p.m. -- Minnesota at Dallas
Bands: Cedar Park, Austin, Vista Ridge, Hendrickson, Pflugerville, Westwood high schools

As soon as half time ends, come here to vote. Viewers may vote once every 30 minutes per URL address. You can also watch the performances again! The voting ends the following Tuesday at noon. We’ll announce the semi finalists on Tuesday nights, during our 10pm News.

CBS 42 KEYE will produce an exclusive 30 minute program, which is scheduled to air on Sept. 6 at 10:35 p.m., inviting viewers to vote for a final grand prize winner among the three semi finalists as well as highlight performances from each participating bands.

Each participating band will receive up to $500 (check) and an official Marching Band Challenge t-shirt. Each band member will receive a copy of Halftime Magazine. The three semi-finalist bands chosen based on number of votes will receive up to an additional $500 (check). The one band with the most votes chosen from the three semi-finalists will receive a trophy (valued up to $300) presented to the entire band/school at a local high school football game of choice. In addition, the one overall winning band will receive products from Innovative Percussion (total approximate retail value is $694). Also, Halftime Magazine will award the winning band a one-year subscription to the magazine (the number of subscriptions awarded will be determined by Halftime Magazine)

So, $500 to participate

$500 more if they get into the semi-finals.

Trophy, bragging rights and $694 in percussion stuff for the band if they win.
