Hi Megatron Quite the walk down memory lane, guys...
I've been thinking about this a lot lately... it's really strange the friendships I've formed in the past decade or so. Never realized those I once thought of as "random forum fodder" would give me such a feeling of loss.

Oh and Metatron. Now that's a name I have not seen in years. It's strange how these things seem to make everyone reminisce.

Hey, Particle Man!
Thought maybe I should contact Snigg, so I looked up his name on CF. The second thread showed up in search was..."101lifts, Stranger and *****...bring em back!!!!!!" by Inferno Apparently Snigg was permanently banned, and his name was bleeped out. I didn't look into details, but I can guess what happened. Rez appeared extremely annoyed in the thread, though. Some wrote 101 came off a-hole-ish sometimes. I don't argue that, but he was never one of self-serving and self-righteous SOB's. CF was a great place, but there were some of them. He had some belief, but did not have an agenda. He also didn't have a "holier-than-thou" attitude, and even if his logic was flawed, he could have been reasoned. Albeit a bit immature for his age , he was so much more innocent than some a-holes I encountered on line. I wish I knew 101 better in person. |

Yeah it's funny, Rez was always billed as a champion of freedom, and to some extent he was, his forum was more loosely moderated than most, but it was stupid for him to blank out snigg's name. It's like a drug, if you ban it, it makes it more curious about it.

Another pretty good guy though. He was working as a mechanic at the time and I spoke with him about it a few times.

It's been a year since Bill passed, so I decided to msg his training partner & housemate (Bryan) to see how things were going. He gave me a photo of him at the gym they were using last year. As you can see by the writing on the wall, it's no corporate robo-gym lol. Here he is squatting 335 for 3 reps. His best one-rep max was 405.
