I've found a few off-road riding spots due to geotagging.

Somebody will not share their super secret riding spot, but they share a nice mobile phone pic. Two second on Google earth and I have directions to some nice trails.

Some early adopters and news/talking heads were at one point talking about how great it is to geotag everything and basically have all this meta data built in to the photos, then when people started to cry foul they started talking about how serial killers will be standing at your front door because you took a picture of your kids standing in front of your house.
