Solitude can be a good thing.

I'm not sure bikes really are a social thing, leastways not for me; I enjoy the occasional group ride, but some of the most memorable rides have been alone time (no offense, Marko).

I just enjoy the experience; be it a short commute, a trip to the store, or a cross-country butt burning endurance dash....

This is exactly what I love about riding honestly.
its that feeling of just complete serenity and peace. knowing the world is entirely within your grasp. I feel if you must use a motorcycle as a social networking means, you're not fully experiencing the ride.

I do like being alone mostly. But I also feel like I push myself harder in a group. I'm also very picky about who I'll ride with; no squids allowed.

I pretty much ride alone these days.
And I agree about the "lazy" thing. A lot of times the truck is just easier.
However, even for the short rides & commutes I find myself doing these days, my motorcycle exhilarates me.

I agree with this and I know Erik would too.

I don't think I will ever get bored since I don't get to ride during winter. Even if I didn't have the break, I wouldn't get bored.

It does get a little lonely when you don't have anyone to ride with you.

I usually ride alone, too. I prefer it most times.
