That being said, the intangible benefits (camraderie in particular) is what keeps us from saying fuck this deployment and bureaucracy BS and getting the fuck out of a hazardous-to-your-health-and-your-psyche profession. I think that is something that is missing in the civilian world - the knowledge and complete faith in the guy (or gal) next to you, that even if they don't much like you personally, they would still put their own hide at risk for your sake.

I think the fucking crew should have all kindsa weapons, and screening should have never been instituted. You can't look up people's assholes, and someone is gonna smuggle something.
"Search everybody" is at best an amateurish attempt at security. Much like what ACTUALLY HAS saved people in terrorist scenarios, the passengers and crew would be able to subdue assholes who try and pull shit. Obviously, that's easier if the terrorist isn't the only one with a fucking weapon.

After eating airport food pretty much anyone's ass is a weapon on a plane.

Some people on here have already admitted to getting knives through security, and considering "knives" made of material other than metal would be even more difficult to stop, I guess knives are OK. As long as we are trusting people to not get all stabby while flying how big a step is it really to trust those same people to not go all Yosemite Sam with a gun? That being said, allowing one or both would not negate the need for the TSA or something like it. Anything is possible so I'm sure there are a few people who want to allow explosives on airplanes, but I'm just as sure a large majority do not. Most of that large majority also expects someone to prevent others from bringing their explosives. What I am getting at is for all the talk of loss of freedoms and people being sheep and drones, where should the line be drawn? Unless someone is advocating for a free-for-all of "bring what you got" on aircraft, what is the acceptable level of intrusion and loss of freedom people can be willing to put up with without being sheep and drones? |

I say get rid of the TSA, stop invading people's privacy, and put a Marshall on each flight.

Everytime we play this game my pm box stays empty. I've no need to further prove anything where you're concerned. Besides there's a lot better things to be complaining about than someone touching your balls at the airport....Like property taxes. Never hear ya'll crying about that. Hell, you're colonoscopy age. Id think a camera shoved up your asshole would be of greater concern than a little fondling

Pass. I trust doctors even less.
Next time I get sick, I plan on dying. Feel free to stick something up your ass, though, if ya want
