Honestly, if I need something for the house, say a nice, can opener for the kitchen. I will go to target. Bed bath and beyond is over priced, walmart is crap, target has it. Ok well that's not exactly true. I may go to meijer first but that's where I do 90% of my grocery and other household stuff shopping. But that's regional. |

Why does everyone always have a hard on about hating Walmart?
Wally world sells Magnalite, Target does not. Wally world pwns the Gumbo cooking world. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Magnalite-...ci_sku=5982169 That article describes items I wouldn't buy from either place though. I don't buy clothes and groceries at target or walmart. It says Walmart still rules the shit I do buy at those type of stores, light bulbs/trash bags/other crap like that. I buy clothes from clothing stores and most of my groceries from local markets. Junk food is about the only food I would think to buy from target or walmart.

Target carries a very awesome selection of Haribo gummi products. Walmart has some pretty sweet prices on ammo. Target clearance items are fucking sweet. Walmart sells cheap scrubs. I like them both.

It isn't like the groceries are any different, dude. Jiffy peanut butter is the same no matter where you buy it. OK, the deli & meat counters are much better at grocery stores, but for everything else, Target or WM are probably cheaper.

Any fresh products are better at local markets. Fruits/veggies. I buy a lot of fresh ingredients when it's my turn to make dinner. So I do my grocery shopping mainly at locals. If I am just running to grab something quick and I need something generic, yeah I will buy peanut butter or similar at those places. I usually stock up when I buy groceries, so I will get 99% of my groceries at a local.

Local market as in a farmer's market? OK, true......
But just a generic Kroger or Winn-Dixie? I don't see how their produce would be any different than Wal-Mart's. You do have Super-Walmarts where you live, right? They should have a complete produce department. |

Fuck Walmart.
No, Fuck Walmart's parking lot. I can't even drive through without twitching... I refuse to go in. It isn't shopping that I have an issue with. It's parking and checking out. There's a REASON there is a PeopleOfWalmart site.

The Food Citys around here usually have the best produce for a chain. A local produce market has better.

Yep. Wal-Mart makes you FEEL lower-class the moment you walk in.
