When we sold the gf's 250 the buyer dropped it within a week. Spent over half what he paid to get it fixed by the dealership.

Me neither on any of my old bikes. Maybe that's best.

I remember when I sold my 94 SecaII a day after I sold it someone crashed it into the woods. The bike was fine but it got sold again and that guy got ran over by a truck on it. Unfortunately he weighed more than the truck and the truck is now totaled.
I bought my CBR (which was in perfect shape before my buddy's buddy bought it) already wrecked so I can't complain if I sell it and it gets wrecked.

Even though you had sold it, I'm sure that sucks. I know I felt a little sick when the guy that bought my 250 repainted it - was still green but not factory Kawi green. Oh well, wasn't mine anymore.

I'm not selling my bike for a while, it'll probably go to one of my kids when they get old enough, but that makes it even worse. Now, if one of my old bikes dies one of my kids will be on it.

Dang man that sucks. Glad the dude is alright tho, hopefully only damaged his ego (for the better). Maybe he'll learn to wear gear and take it slow if he ever decides to get back on it.
When I sold my 250 I never checked on it but the guy ended up calling me and leaving me a voice mail cussing me out. He said the rear tire blew up and his wife was in the hospital and he was sending me the bills. I let it go and never heard from him again. |

I feel bad for the bike, especially if you cared for it so well when you had it.
