gov't pays like 65% of cobra right now. cobra+gov't for me and kids = $340/mos + red tape Z's ins for whole family = $330 though Z prefers my ins. co (united) to her's BlueCrossBS, i think from now on i;m gonna work contract so we're just gonna get on her plan.

usually a decent amount of work right now, but w/ the anti-oil gov't environment, all the oil co's have a hold on any projects in the US. quite a bit of work overseas. buddy of mine told me about an phone interview he had w/ a co. in Alberta $50-70/HR for the work i/we do.............hmmm.........are taxes really like 50%?

Someone else already said - if I lost my Health Ins I'd have a lot bigger worries than riding. In fact, I'd probably be considering selling bikes first because as much as I love them, if it's a house payment or foreclosure the bikes are history.

I take home 65.8% of my pay. Since we are in Onterrible, we pay 13% on any purchase made, so we are effectively taxed 52.8%, which is very close to half.
