My experience is the same with the 954... It's not a very comfortable bike to get in position on... |

Got it down on my last track day beginning of this month. I won't even try on the street unless it was a life or death situation.

For all you pussies who can't do it, the best way is just to crash. Done deal.

I do at the track all the time... on the street... there are only a few roads around here that warrant coming even close. and I've been chewed out a few times for doing it... not that i care... i wasn't speeding excessively. lol

Coulda swore I took that in GA!
Personally I drag my knee on the track but not on the street. Not that I see anything wrong with it. I just don't ride that hard on the street. I had one serious accident, and that was plenty.

I've tried and tried, but damn I can't get my knee down on my VTX
I got a friends '96 ZX-7R running for him a couple summers ago and out on a test ride I noticed my knee was uncomfortably close to the asphalt since I was just in jeans doing a lap around the "block" (I live in the country, 4 mile "block"). I'll wait till I get an FZ1 before I bother to try. |

i typically dont drop knee unless its an unusually spirited ride or im out east, other then that i really dont go fast enough to lean over that far...
let us know how that works out for you... |

There wasn't an option for me. I've gotten it down just once and it was on the track.
I don't come close on the street and don't care to as I'm in jeans... and there are too many other variables. The track, if I do it again, OK if I don't. OK. I think part of the reason I did this one time is because my leathers are kind of big in the legs and they just hung down far enough. LOL. I ride more like my husband - neither one of us move very much on the bike though I probably should since I'm nearly half his size. |
