Ah, it would be a nice bike to have, but I would rather get something adv related if my wife got involved and wanted to take trips on the bike. Otherwise I won't spend money on something I won't do very often if she isn't going to come with me. Plus I got other options of getting a motard and a dual sport for the same price as a hyper. Hyper is pretty heavy, a katoom might be another choice.
I taught Andrea how to ride the fiddy. She was ok on it, but I want to get her in the MSF to see how she takes to actual street riding preparation. If she is so so into it, then I probably will just suggest she doesn't get one.

Black with the red frame is the business... would've bought one, but I was impatient and was having a hard enough time finding the base model in red. Not to mention the extra $3k was kind of a dealbreaker at the time with my ex.

And you call me a bad influence.
I'd say trade the 1098 in for a 1098S and then have a Hypermotard or a Monster 1100S as the second bike.

There's no telling what'll be in the garage when you get back in a year or so.
