From what I've heard the high-end off-the-rack suits aren't always so great in terms of protection with respect to the price... someone posted a long article about it back on back in the day. I'll be going custom for sure.

Syed custom leathers Held Gloves Teknic Violator boots Arai Aoyama helmet I only buy (or get from sponsors) what I WANT. So I have it all. I'm admittedly very very lucky. This year I'll order my custom 2 piece Syed street suit. |

If I buy a top-end suit, it'll be because I can afford it. I can only afford 5-600 dollar suits now. Might have to get one as a gift from the wifey one of these significant days. And I'll be doing a lot of searching to find the cheapest deal.

I was just saying when you do have the cash to get something top-of-the-line (say 12 hundred bucks or so)... I would recommend (from reveiews people have given me) going custom instead of off the rack... check out vanson, syed, zee customs, etc... I've checked a lot of them out in person... VERY nice stuff.

The most expensive Astars is high quality shit too. What do the customs run for?

The customs and the mids and one of the lowers were the ones that held up the best. Customs won't be any more money than the a* or dainese suits you're talking about. Plus if you go custom like vanson or whatever, you're helping an american leather business that makes their products here... Check out: http://www.zcustom.com http://www.vansonleathers.com http://www.syedleathers.com There are some other great ones too. Other people may chime in.
