Default I dub thee the HEBREW HAMMER

I needed a new wood working mallet, so I built one. $3 in wood, $1.62 in pennies, a shit ton of glue, and sanding till my arms are tired. Just needs some dark stain and its done.

And the reason I call it the hebrew hammer

I had forgotten that you were a Jewish carpenter.

That's some nice work there, and a decent use for pennies.
Obviously they weigh more than the wood they replaced, but is it significant heft?

What is the weight? Any idea what the solid wood weight would be?

Just curious what the pennies add - some lead in there may add more heft

Mr. Mitzvah had a paddle. Shouldn't Jewman have a dreidel or something?

Pennies shift around with impact and reduce rebound, I'd imagine. Kind of like a deadblow hammer.
