Default The Homeslice Critiques Your Ride Thread

This is the thread where we will post photos of our bikes and cars and (hopefully) the 'slice, expert on all things visual, will give us expert critique and give us suggestions on how we can improve their looks.

I'll start with my truck. This is the only photo I have with the new wheels on it:

Dark tint, black KMC Addicts. 18", down from the stock 20s. I was going for a "functional 909" look that wouldn't rattle my teeth on washboard roads.

(this is all meant in good fun, in case people were thinking about getting insulted at all this)

Unfortunately I'm in the office so I don't have any pics handy of the cars

Those wheels look like Azoom's, are they?

Personally, I'm just never gonna like it too much, because only gray vehicles look good with black wheels IMO.

What can I say, I'm way old school, I grew up in an era when most cars had hubcaps. And when those hubcaps got stolen, you were left with an ugly black wheel. So that's the mental image that comes to mind whenever I see black wheels -- It looks like someone who can't afford to replace their hubcaps. Can't help it.

I'm not hip on trailers, but it does look pretty trim and stylish. Definitely better than the cheap homemade stuff most people use.

No, they belong to me. We don't share a set of wheels, that would make for difficult commuting.

The Z is the best, classy mix of tan leather and black dash. Wheels are very nice as well, some of the best BMW has ever had.
The truck is #2, those wheels look like what trucks are supposed to have.....Not street-car rims with low-profiles.
The 5-series is #3, it's kind of plain but the lace-spoke wheels are classic.
The VW, well red isn't my color, and I'm not really digging the wheels, they look kind of Japanese for some reason. Also the front airdam looks like it has fangs instead of going straight across.

I agree. This particular car is very rare in that it has a color matched top. Every time I take it in for service (less than 24k so it's still under factory service) they beg me to trade it. 95% of this color came with black tops.

I love this car...and can barely ever drive it unless my wifes out of town and doesn't find out

Agree as well. Not a fan of those 24" wheels with rubber bands on trucks. WTF?

Again.....agree [damn] I think the E39 is one of the best looking BMW's ever. And these wheels make it even better. I would eventually like to take them off and have them polished to a mirror finish and have the centers resprayed.

That's good, because it's ORANGE as hell!

It's going to be my sons car. His school colors are orange and white. Much like Clemson. It was my best friends car. He bought it new, swapped wheels, added the front and rear spoilers and had them painted to match.

I use to have pictures of it when he drove it home in stock form. But the color is a metallic pearl orange.

Stock:

I'm not a HUGE fan of the wheels myself.
