Got a new tire and chain
Me and Upshift changed our Rear tires this weekend. Mine was showing threads and his was just about as bad.
I got a really nice Michelin Pilot Activ. 150/70/17. I bought it off Ebay. It usually runs for 160 but i got it brand new for 89. hell of a deal if you ask me. I almost got a Pirelli but decided i needed to save every penny i could. it was only 120 though. I took the rear wheel off and since i didnt have a bike stand i just got the jack out of my truck and the jack out of my moms car. It worked fine and i was able to lift it up and down to clean everything really well. Cleaned out all kinds ot tar and oil and shit that had built up around where i coulndt get to easily before. I had alot of fun taking it apart and cleaning it and re-lubing everything. I also bought a new chain. The chain that the shop in Dalton wanted to sell me was like 70 dollars. so i bought one off Ebay for 20. It was a GP and the closest one they had to the length i needed was 120 link. I need 112 link so i had to take some links out. I took some doing but i got it done and it fits perfect. I got everything put back together today and got to ride a bit. went around the neighborhood first a few times to get a feel for it and to double check if everything felt right. The chain seemed to of tightened up a bit so i loosened it but the tire rode great. still needs to warm up some and wear off that outer layer. but it seemed to stick really well. After i fixed the chain i took it out to shitville HWY and let it loose a bit. Really handled great. My old chain was really streached out bad so the new showed much more response. cant wait to finally break in the tires and chain and take it out and ride full tilt. |

Two words. Anal fisting. Box is shown. But it's not a real person, just an animated drawing of it. And it's very tasteful. Very artsy.
