just velcro your lap timer to your tank or underneath your tail. You don't really want to see it while your riding anyway.

Actually it is imperative that I see it while I am riding, that's the whole reason I got it; for on-the-fly timing so I know where I'm at, as well as for timing for track days (that allow it) and race practice sessions.

I think I will tape/velcro it to the top triple tree or to the bottom half of my tach for now... until I machine that little mounting block.

For racing I will have a separate transponder that you ziptie to your fork tube, the LRRS gives them to you when you check in for the weekend and you give them back at the end. That's how the official timing is done.

That will be just a distraction. That lap timer divides everything up by session and lap, so it's pretty easy to keep track once you are off the bike.

It immediately restarts as soon as you cross the transponder and is not real useful on the track unless you are constantly looking down and memorizing the time by where you are at on the track, which will just remove your concentration from the task at hand.

The beacon is on pit wall at the start/finish line... I'll be looking down there an tucked anyways, and want to see my times. Plus look at them afterwards.

If I look down and see I'm running 2 seconds off my normal pace or something, that's good to know, so you can say to yourself "hey fuckin man up you're being a little bitch"

I'd want to see mine while I'm putting the laps down.

here's mine, it lets me play with it while I am waiting for green flags and if I get a really long straight and extremely curious I can look down, otherwise it's not anywhere near my field of vision and not something that distracts me.
