New York State did a big crack-down on the fraudulent practises of camera/electronics stores. It's time that they cracked down on Internet fraud, as a whole. NYC seems to be the epicentre.

So true. Most of my time in financial fraud investigation was spent dealing with Eastern European frauds of various sorts. Its amazing how slippery you can be, without trying, when you don't give a fuck.

Considering the fact that the people who were best able to get out of the former Soviet Union after things came apart were members of the Russian mob or the Politburo, it's small surprise that so many took to criminal endeavours

Hey, the Chinese put Melamine plastic in baby milk.

Humans do this kinda stuff. Not any particular race, or nation. More and more I read of stuff done here that boggles the mind.
