Default Rider Down - My Mom

My mom went down tonight. I'm sitting in the ER right now. I'm hearing sme BS story about the wind running her off the road. It isn't even windy. I'm guessing she hit some gravel. That shit is all over the road this time of year. She was on an old Honda CT90 scooter. Despite my pleas, she eas wearing no gear, took no MSF course, and had no endorsement. So far she has some rash, a rock stuck in her hand and has dislocated her one good knee. I'll follow up when I know more.

She said the same thing about the Hayabusa. She still swears the wind blew her into the curb. She said she's done riding. She's in surgey for the knee now.

well... honestly... GOOD... sounds like she has no business near a motorcycle or scooter. no offense... but some people just can't handle them...

Oh joy- another "war story" ex-rider. "Them things are killers, you'll end up like me." Sorry it had to happen to your moms though.

All of the ligaments in her left knee are torn. She is going to need reconstructive surgery. I did all I could do to talk her out of riding. She's a horrid driver and has no business on anything on two wheels. When I couldn't talk her out of it, I gave her all the usual advice to keep her as safe as possible. She listened to none of it, and now I have to take care of her.
