Default Cool old man

I was riding with a group of friends to Gettysburg for the bike show this past weekend. At a redlight in Chambersburg we come to a stop. There is a new CTS-V infront of me with WWII Vet Tags on.

Well this old man opens his drivers door and walks back to me and says "I'll trade you my Plymouth for your bike"

I tell him I'm perfectly happy with my bike and thanks for the offer. I had my 101st Airborne shirt on and he says he was in the 101st in WWII as well. He thanked me for my service and I did the same to him.

He went happily back to his car after holding up traffic for a minute and went on his way.

Later on down the road, my buddy darroch says to me at the light that it was one of the weirdest things he has ever seen. I thought the old man was coming back to kick my ass for some reason.

Maybe it was a 1969 GTX Hemi or Superbird, both worth over $35K.

I doubt he was serious anyways

Don't worry I would be happy to have traded for either one of those.

If he served in WWII, then he was a MINIMUM of 82-83 yo

Rare to see any of them driving a CTS-V

Hell, the average age of a late model Corvette driver is 65 (I'm 49 BTW) So 80 YO Caddy driver isn't that far fetched.

Was a cool story though.
