Why conservatives are freaking out.
Sounds about right.

Keep in mind, my reply is when this post is still in "News Desk"
I love how the critics and staunch Obama supporters always seem to reach for the race/gender card when it comes to WHY he & Pelosi are getting criticized. Do you think Clinton was any better loved by the extreme right? So far, I haven’t been witness to ANY personal attacks on Obama’s race, or Pelosi’s sex…other than her being called a k*** What I keep hearing is the BS about him not being born in the US still or him being a Muslim….THAT small minded stuff, YEAH…but honestly I haven’t heard any opposition to his race or her sex…yet the critics seem to paint ANYONE who opposes their actions as racist/sexist mutants. When it’s simply the opposition of one extreme side to the other, regardless of what agenda either is pushing. If Obama took up the cross of the conservatives, then you bet the conservatives would change their agenda to oppose Obama….it’s just that simple.

Personally, I think its totally racial. I'm not an Obama supporter, I'm anti-government in its current form. But it has been obvious to me that a lot of the Anti-Obama sentiment, the name calling, the extreme hatred and so on are racially motivated at a very basic level.
White America (See: Tea Party) does not want this black man doing things in their country. Instead of calling him a porch monkey, they simply decry every, single thing the man does as "socialist" or "fascist" or whatever. Are they, as a group, going to come out and say they don't like him because of his skin color? Well, hell no....they're intolerant, but they're not totally stupid.

I love the whole "baby killer" thing.
I've always been suspicious of men who say they're pro-life. Do some of them truly hold that belief, yes, I've met a few who I could tell had real deeply-held reasons for doing so. But IMO there's many others who only claim to be pro-life because they define themselves as conservative and pro-life happens to be a conservative viewpoint. |
