Corvette GTR
Even with Ford as the featured manufacturer and the alarming number of expected Camaros, you can expect a few Corvettes to appear at the 2009 SEMA show. One example is the Corvette GTR from the Michigan-based tuner Specter Werkes/Sports seen above. The Corvette GTR starts as a standard Z06. For power, the tuners turn to Lingenfelter Performance Engineering for a twin-turbo kit; the 7.0L LS7 now makes a claimed 800 hp through its Corse exhaust system. That's significantly more power than the version we drove back in June. Specter has added StopTech brakes with slotted rotors and calipers with pistons numbering six front and four rear. The HRE wheels are carbon fiber, weigh 22 lbs each, and come wrapped in Michelin rubber. Painted in BASF Pearl Blue, the Corvette GTR also features Specter's bodywork and plenty of carbon fiber accents, including the headlamp housing, front splitter, and mirrors. You can catch the Corvette GTR at the HRE booth outside the convention center. Check out our coverage of the 2009 SEMA show starting November 3. Source: MotorTrend.com

Those exhaust pipes are butt ass ugly. I also don't care much for the flat black rear end but I do like the black wheels.

Ya the rear end seems to throw it off a bit but the wheels look good. Add another car to the stable.

I don't really like the looks of it but would love the performance capabilities I'm sure.

What a piece of shit, you couldn't pay me to drive that! 800hp? My 94 Celica has twice that.

Rear lip style spoilers are cool, but the way it covers part of the taillights is straight-up ghey.
And the exhaust is pure 16 year old riceboy. Please tell me the need for such big outlets when the pipes behind them are no more than 2.5 or 3 inches in diameter. |

and to spend all that money to spruce up your vette, and get beaten in a race against a litre bike driven by a homeless dude(They are selling for $7K brand new now), because you can't get any traction.

Wouldn't doubt this thing does the quarter mile in the 11's, which I doubt most people here have the skill to do on a bike
