I'm disappointed.. when you said cosplay I was assuming there would be hot women in skimpy clothing.

I'm talking about why these people are into putting so much time, money, and effort into a costume just so people will take pictures of them. Outside of Halloween or some nerd convention, it's going to sit unused.
