Default The Stock Market?

Do you watch it?

What is "The" market?

Yahoo lists S&P, Dow, Nasdaq, EUR/USD, 10 Year Bond, Gold and Oil. Which are important to watch?

I'd say it's important to watch whatever market you happen to be investing in.

A pay a bit of attention to the three primary market indexes (DJIA, NASDAQ, S&P), but those don't really tell me much. I also look at the few individual stocks I own. Every 2-3 months I take a look at my 401k to see how the funds I am in are performing and reevaluate to see if there are better options available. I don't really look at commodities or currencies and if you are talking about Treasury bonds they are in the toilet anyway.

I look at DJIA and the S&P500 but I pay more attention to about 30 stocks that are related to industries Im interested in and a couple of sector specific ETFs.

I only keep on top of my company's stock, the funds that make up my 401K and those that make up my 529 plans for my boys.

My "list" has gotta be at least 100-150 stocks/ETFs......but I only own about 30 of them. The rest were just added because I read something that made me interested enough to add it. Stuff all across the board, from boring blue chips to small techs to REIT's, MLP's and BDC's.
