FYI in TX you can be arrested for your tags being "hidden"

You can also be arrested for being involved in an organized illegal event, even if you're just there to record it. The tags seem to be a trumped up issue.

The Dallas area is notorious for stopping the freeway. Personally I wanted to arrest the guy that kept brake checking the cop car.

Ruff Ryders? They like to shut down the freeway there. One day someone's gonna get pissed off and just ride through the crowd. Can't f'n stand those guys, they're a big part of why "motorcycle crackdowns" happen.

We've got idiots like that, up here, who constantly spout the "I'll do whatever I want" sort of Jerry Springer teenage-girl-screwing-everyone bullshit. Fortunately they aren't actually that organized. The local Ruff Ryders are more likely to take part in charity rides, than they are to pull that sort of stupidity.

I believe you are correct.

The dude who got arrested...hard to say. I didn't see his plate, so I can't tell if he was "hiding" his plate or not.

Seems like a seriously nebulous probable cause issue to me. How would the cops know he was a part of that group? Could have just been riding down the road with a camera on his head.

I would gladly hand over my memory cards to him if I was just riding and came across them. I would hand them my license and say you can hold on to that and I will go ride with them and record every single license plate I could and then return for my license.
