Well I only looked at the top 15 so North Carolina looks safe BUT I'm near the border of #4 South Carolina and not too far from #5 Tennessee so I guess I better keep my guard up.

I'm kind of surprised at these results.

Me too. The figures are obviously being determined per capita, and that tends to make the smaller states look more dangerous on paper than they actually are. i've been all over South Carolina, and there have been very few times when i thought "Fuck, i should NOT be here". I mean, we have half the population of New York City spread out over 100 times the area.

I agree about the "per capita"...I mean if Mayberry has a murder it's bolts right to the top.

I've only been two places in SC that I felt "uneasy" and one was Parris Island, SC in USMC bootcamp and the other was North Charleston.

Well now that Ebbs moved out of Alaska, the number of reported cases of ass rape will go down.

Those stats are 100% completely meaningless. It is common for cities to alter their crime data to show downward trends in crime for a myriad of reasons, one being proof that their funding is working and they need more.

My fiance is required to go to Camden, NJ per her scholarship. They have to go "help" poor people.

What should I do?
