Gee my wife is such a squid!
Here's how my wife showed up to ride today in the 95 degree heat. Now, I'm no gear nazi or anything but I told her to ditch those textiles and put some damn jeans on!

She looks more like a steamed lobster! Anyway, good for you bro! You're definitely taking the "high road" on this topic. Besides, I'd probably take more interest in what this chick wears to ride if she wasn't just some cheap fuck I was boning! Yeesh, what do I care what she wears? I have gear, lots of gear, and I've offered it to her. If she chooses not to wear it, who cares? She's been riding since she was a little girl here in NC and doesn't want to wear anything beyond a helmet, gloves, jacket and jeans. Her skin, her choice I say.

OH MY GOD! Dont tell the ex cf'ers that people should be able to choose what they wear when they ride! Or that they should be able to buy whichever motorcycle they want. The gear nazi's will team up with the start small nazi's, and first thing you know, they'll all have their hands on their hips staring right at you telling you what a bad man you are. You better hope she has MSF too, or they might POINT at you while they bitch! |

The real question is, how long was this ride? If it was a real "ride" then yeah, it makes sense to gear up. But what about short trips to the store or something? or do you guys just use your car for those?
A serious question for the "gear all the time" advocates here, do you ever use your bike for real transportation, not just for fun? For example, if you had to use your bike to get to the drug store only 2 miles away, would you put on a suit? You'd be 1 in a million then, because I've never known any rider who does that.
