What car would you buy under 10k?

If you could buy any car that will be your only vehicle (I take my bike to work tho), what would you get?

New or used? A new car in that price range would be a shoebox with a rubber band. There is a 2000 BMW 528 in my area that I am looking at...$6000. I bet you could find similar near you.

any ford ranger regular cab longbed with the 5 spd 2.3. otherwise an older F250/350 with the powerstroke 7.3 and a 6spd trans. crew or regular cab.
