With the right prop, enough horsepower and a light plane it's easy enough. If you notice the plane makes enough power to lift the tail before it moves. They've got an extreme pitch on that prop and probably a 40knot top speed with it

Can you imagine JATO on such a small plane? "Instant matchsticks"

My grandfather flew out of Alaska many, many years back. He had a few stories about slewing- sideslipping- a floatplane around a dropping almost vertical.

Liked the end of the landing, with full brakes, and still enough air off the prop to keep the tail up.
