Default Q about slip-on

My main reason for liking slip-on's is for the sound. I had Yoshi slip-on's on my '01 R6 and '06 R6s, they sounded great.

I just put a Yoshi on my '07 R6 (high rev) and I think it pretty much sounds like the stock exhaust.
Is it cause it's a shorty? Or the bike? Or did we do something wrong on the install?

I am really disappointed with it.

Did you put the same kind of pipe on?

Meaning, Hindle makes a stealth and a supersport (since I'm not familiar with Yosh). The supersport is louder. So did you maybe buy something similar to the stealth instead of the supersport version.

Bingo! I bet she got the "street" version and not the "race only" version. Either that or this model left the under-muffler in place and just added an outer muffler. Basically a "tip" of sorts.

There should be a rivet... drill it out and pull out the silencer.

Nah, that pipe has a removable "street" silencer I think. You just need an allen wrench. My Quad had the same thing.

Wait a minute... check for an insert in the end of the pipe. If you take that out it will get much louder. I think it's held in with an allen screw.

Took the silencer out of the Yosh when I installed it on the SV... Thought it was a bit loud at first, but got used to it.

Now... compared to the Buell, it sounds stock

Well, did you have to drill or did it come out with a screw?
