Bathroom tiling
So, a while back our bathroom tiling in our shower started to cave in. We pulled a MacG. for a while, but eventually something had to be done.
Erik wanted to pay someone to do it, but I said no. I knew I could do it. He could pay me if he wanted to pay someone! I'm pretty happy with my first tiling job and wanted to share what I did. It is a wonderful feeling when you accomplish something like this that you can see on a regular basis. It also makes you appreciate it more. So here are my before, during, and after shots. So far nothing has fallen down! http://s80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...doll/Bathroom/ Last edited by racedoll; 07-26-2009 at 09:28 PM.. |

Im impressed, you did a very nice job on it.
My only words of wisdom for you is to keep up with keeping the grout sealed. I always get people coming into the Depot wondering why they cant get the stains off their grout and its almost always because they hadnt sealed it in a couple years, then I get to tell them that theyre in for a hell of a time getting it clean again. |

For clarification - I ripped the old stuff out. Erik treaked the plumbing to install our new faucet. He also put up the cement board. Then I did the rest - tiling, grouting, caulking, and will seal it. It took forever! Do this and wait for it to dry. Do something else, wait. Work, wait... and so on. I'm SOOO happy it is done. |

Grout I would think is cured. It has been like 2-3 weeks since I've done it. I can't go much longer without the sealer. I'll just have to tell Erik no showers for 24 hours +. I want to make sure it is nice and dry when I apply and then 24 hours to cure.
