Free Yamaha manuals
I was having problems with my oil change today and I called Zortness to tell him. He said to check the Australian Yamaha site for the manual. Yup, it was there for FREE!! Not sure how many Yamaha models it covers, but it's worth a look if you got a Yamaha. They're in pdf format and I now have a copy saved to my desktop. Good shit.

No, I always ask the people at the parts counter to look up the capacity of the oil for me and they usually do. Well, the guy that helped me just said start at 3.5 and go from there. I've changed my oil before, but it was six months ago and forgot how many quarts it needs. So I went with the 3.5 method. I put in 3.5, run it and check. The fucking oil was almost over-flowing out of the dipstick hole. I check it on the site and it's only 2.75. I knew 3.5 didn't sound right. Oh well. I ran it for like 20 seconds. Hope I didn't fuck anything up.

Heh... My ex's counsin's BF was changing his oil one day when I stopped by... he had an old F150... I saw the empty case and like 10 empty quarts on the ground around it... So I asked him about all of that... He thought he had to FILL UP the engine with oil...

probably did... my friends dad had an old F150 that burnt almost as much oil as it did gas... he had the motor rebuilt... still burnt like two quarts per tank...
