Yamaha R1 - The FedEx Edition?
I saw this when I was leaving the office in Tokyo this afternoon. I have no idea what he carries in there, but the case alone seems like would create a few challenges:

Is it just a shadow or does the center of the front tire look bald?

Yep. But it's in KPH, which roughly converts to 25MPH, I think.

I remember pegging a little rotary engined Mazda up to 178 on an expressway in Japan back in the 80's and thought I was flying and then converted it and it was only around 111 mph.

Right-o! They also seem like they'd make excellent places to bin it in the rain.
Speaking of, I saw a motard blast down a busy street in Central Tokyo today in the rain. Approaching a stoplight (green) at a damn respectable rate of speed, he kicked the ass end out and completed a picture-perfect left turn. Freakin' amazing. |
