I've got damn near a lakeside office now.

Granted, we're at AT, so my "office is just a table in an old WWII era kitchen facility.

This thread is sad. We used to carry like 4 conversations in here at one time. Now we rarely post in it.

Anyway, there is a local powdercoater offering free powdercoating for the inside (non friction) part of the brake rotors and on the rear sprocket (teeth being taped off obviously.) He is doing it free as a test to see if it will hold up to the heat and the vibrations. I am pretty much positive I am going to have him do mine. Its a 9 year old bike, so what can it really hurt. Its no show queen by any means. I played around in photoshop for a bit seeing what it would look like with different colors. Black was kinda boring, but still cool. Gold looked like shit against the red bike. I decided on a red that is pretty close to the color of the bike. I also got him to throw in rear sets if I'll take him riding more. (He has been powdercoating for a long time, newer rider though.)

Here is a picture of what it should look like when he gets done.

Here is what I would like to get done this winter.

I just finished a bagel from the caf. Coffee isn't bad either.

I am not...and even if I was it wouldn't get me any beer. Can't sell it in grocery stores in PA. Yes, PA sucks.

I am finding that Sierra Nevada Pale Ale works very nicely for me with the recent heat wave.
I haven't even missed my usual Dos Equis Lager yet.

(and no, Rider... I didn't make it to Costco to get mine. I picked up a 12 at the grocery store yesterday. I might get a case when I hit Costco next week)

So where do you get your beer? A state controlled "package" store?

We can only buy beer at a distributor (case or more, nothing less) or a bar (6 or 12 packs). Wine and booze has to come from the State store.

However, Wegmans (a high end grocery store) side stepped the law and now sells 6 and 12's in their grocery store. They claim to be a restuarant and have the restaurant section roped off...there for it's seperate from a grocery store.

They just started selling beer about a month ago. And believe me when I say it took them YEARS to get that through the legislature. There's A SHIT TON of opposition to selling beer in grocery stores in this state.

t-homo 06-24-2009 11:35 AM

Grocery stores, gas stations, liquor stores. Pretty much anywhere that sells anything.

Is PA as strict on beer laws as oklahoma?

In OK, not sales after a certain time (much earlier than MO's 1:30 AM), no sales on monday. Has to be 3.2 % alcohol or lower in order to be refridgerated.

Not that bad. We have to stop selling at 2am. About 2 years ago they let bars and distributors be open on Sunday. Before that you couldn't find booze anywhere on a Sunday.

Usually between 8 and 10 bucks.

t-homo 06-24-2009 11:55 AM

I figured it was going to be expensive as shit since you have to buy em from bars. Here, its around 8 bucks. However, if you get em at a bar here is ridiculous.

Rider 06-24-2009 11:57 AM

I see SA in the grocery store for $6-$7/6pack. Down in FL and ABC Liquor SA was selling for $9/6 pack

marko138 06-24-2009 11:58 AM

Case goes for about 30 or 31 bucks.

Shit mang, thats the cheapest case I buy out this way. Coors light goes for 22 bucks in PA, for comparison.

t-homo 06-24-2009 12:15 PM

Case being 20 pack of bottles? Around 16 bucks in MO.

marko138 06-24-2009 12:39 PM

Case being a 30 pack of cans.

t-homo 06-24-2009 12:42 PM

They have em in keystone, but those are the only 30 packs i've ever seen down here. Most everything is 24 packs of cans.

Cans FTL. I'll drink can's if it's free, but if I'm paying it must be bottles.

That is why I figured you were referring to a case as a 20 pack of bottles. I will drink either, but prefer bottles. I can't even remember the last time I drank natty light, or bud light for that matter. Coors light is the worst I drink anymore.

I'll make an exception if it's the lake or river where you pretty much have to have cans or transfuse your shit into plastic.
And then it's Dos Equis...

Well in that instance I was refering to the 30's of Coors. Sam doesn't come in cans. And a normal case is 24 bottles or cans.

Massive 4th of July party in the country with the rider friends. Beer and jello shots got to me pretty quick and I never stopped.

While playing beer pong, I got pushed backwards into a jeep bumper, which made a little cut on my shorts. As the night progressed, more and more people grabbed the rip and tore it further. Now the shorts are in two separate pieces.

I got tacked off the deck at some point. Wrestled a guy at one point (got my ass kicked). Got tackled again onto the 50 ft long slip and slide. That is about all I remember.
